Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Y-12, LLC—a partnership between McDermott International subsidiary BWX Technologies and Bechtel National—manages and operates the Y-12 plant at Oak Ridge National Laboratories in Tennessee. The plant, known as the “Fort Knox of Uranium,” retrieves and stores nuclear materials and provides fuel for naval reactors. The partnership operates under the name BWXT Y-12 Limited Liability Co.
