CBY Design Builders is a joint venture of Brasfield & Gorrie, L.L.C., CDM Constructors Inc., and W.G. Yates and Sons Construction Company. In April 2011, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded CBY a $675 million contract to construct the Permanent Canal Closures and Pumps Stations project, part of a hurricane and storm damage risk reduction system for the New Orleans area. The Corps set aside the award in October 2011 after the Government Accountability Office (GAO) sustained a bid protest.
