About POGO's Federal Contractor Misconduct Database (FCMD)
The government awards contracts to companies with histories of misconduct such as contract fraud and environmental, ethics, and labor violations. In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. We believe that it will lead to improved contracting decisions and public access to information about how the government spends hundreds of billions of taxpayer money each year on goods and services. 1. Overcharging on Food Contracts (Suspension)
In November 2009, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) temporarily suspended Agility (formerly known as Public Warehousing Company KSC) from government contracting pending the completion of an investigation into allegations the company overcharged the Department of Defense on contracts to supply food to U.S. troops in Iraq, Kuwait and Jordan. Agility was indicted on charges of conspiracy, fraud, making false statements and submitting false claims. The government alleges PWC inflated food prices and submitted false information on contracts awarded between 2003 and 2005.
