About POGO's Federal Contractor Misconduct Database (FCMD)
The government awards contracts to companies with histories of misconduct such as contract fraud and environmental, ethics, and labor violations. In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. We believe that it will lead to improved contracting decisions and public access to information about how the government spends hundreds of billions of taxpayer money each year on goods and services. Alliance Contractor Team
The Alliance Contractor Team is composed of World Air Holdings and Evergreen International Airlines. World Air Holdings (purchased by Global Aero Logistics Inc. in 2007) is the parent company of World Airways, North American Airlines and World Risk Solutions, Ltd. World Airways and North American Airlines have more than 70 years of combined experience in the aviation business. They operate around the world in every time zone and carry both passengers and cargo. Evergreen International Airlines has provided passenger and cargo service around the world for more than 40 years.

1. Banc of America Securities LLC v. Evergreen International Aviation (Breach of Contract)
On May 22, 2003 Banc of America Securities LLC filed a lawsuit alleging “claims for breach of contract and quantum meruit, arising out of agreements in which Banc of America agreed to act as [Evergreen International Aviation’s] financial agent in exchange for the payment of certain fees.” A settlement was reached on March 31, 2006, under which Evergreen International Aviation will pay Banc of America Securities $1.1 million.... more»
2. Fraud and Breach of Contract
On February 11, 2003, Tridair Repair and Manufacturing, Inc. filed a complaint against Evergreen International Aviation, Inc. “alleging fraud and breach of contract”. “On May 6, 2005, the parties entered into a Settlement Agreement and Release whereby each party agreed to dismiss all claims, with prejudice, in exchange for the release of such party’s equipment and property held by the other party”.... more»
