Policy Rescission (California Hospital Association Lawsuit)

The California Hospital Association, representing roughly 200 California hospitals, filed a class action lawsuit against Health Net over its decision to revoke patients’ coverage between February 2004 and October 2007. In May 2009, Health Net settled the lawsuit, denying all allegations of wrongdoing and agreeing to pay over $1.9 million to settle the hospitals’ claims.
