Failure to Test Navigation System Components

Northrop Grumman paid $12.5 million to settle False Claims Act allegations that, from November 1998 until February 2007, Northrop’s Navigation Systems Division failed to test commercial-grade electronic components to ensure that they would function at the extreme temperatures required for military and space uses.
