Santa Monica Water Contamination Settlement

Boeing agreed to pay the City of Santa Monica, California $39.5 million over the course of 10 years to settle claims that Douglas Aircraft (which merged with Boeing in 1997) contaminated the local water supply with chemical solvents when it operated manufacturing facilities in the area from the 1940s to the 1970s.
