Satellite Parts Kickbacks

Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems procurement officer Mark Allen was among seven people charged with participating in a kickback scheme. The government alleged that an executive at A&A Fabrication and Polishing, a Boeing satellite parts supplier, paid approximately $100,000 in kickbacks to Allen, who in return provided the executive with confidential information that helped A&A win approximately $4.5 million in Boeing purchase orders between 2005 and 2012. Allen was charged in April 2013 with conspiracy to receive kickbacks and pleaded guilty the following month. Boeing cooperated fully in the investigation.
