National Association of the Deaf v. MIT (Discrimination)

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) claims the Massachusetts Institute of Technology discriminates against deaf students by failing to provide closed captions in their online courses, in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act. The lawsuit claims that thousands of videos provided through MIT’s OpenCourseWare web-based courses lack captioning or contain inaccurate or unintelligible captioning.
