Health Violations at Lake Charles Facility

A Northrop Grumman aircraft repair and refurbishment facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana was cited by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for health violations that occurred in 2014. OSHA found that workers who removed paint from aircraft were exposed to dangerous levels of methylene chloride and hexavalent chromium. OSHA cited Northrop Grumman for eight serious violations and proposed $42,000 in penalties.
