Fuchs v. L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept., et al. (Heat Beam Device Product Liability)

Andrew Lars Fuchs claims that Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officers assaulted him with a heat beam device manufactured by Raytheon that caused him to suffer second-degree burns and permanent disfigurement. The device fires an invisible electro-magnetic radiation heat beam that Fuchs alleges causes second- and third-degree radiation burns on skin and can lead to long-term damage, including cancer. Fuchs seeks damages from Raytheon on the bases of negligence, fraud and deceit, and that the heat beam device is defective and unsafe for its intended purpose.
