France Price Collusion

France’s competition regulator fined 20 package delivery companies, including FedEx Express France, a total of 672.3 million euros (US$733 million) for colluding on price increases over a period of six years. FedEx’s share of the fine was 17 million euros (US$18.5 million). The regulator alleged the companies met in secret from 2004 to 2010 to plan annual price increases, as well as a way to pass on higher diesel costs to customers.
