November 2015 Worker Fatality at Memphis International Airport

The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA) proposed fining FedEx $4,000 for a November 2015 incident at Memphis International Airport in which a cargo tug operator was killed after falling under a loaded dolly he was towing. TOSHA found one “serious” violation in FedEx’s failure to ensure that tug operators were kept safe by requiring the use of seat belts.
