Kohut v. KBR (Shareholder Lawsuit)

KBR agreed to pay $10.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by shareholders who accused the company of committing securities fraud by overstating earnings. The plaintiffs—purchasers of KBR stock between April 25, 2013 and May 5, 2014—alleged KBR violated securities laws by failing to accurately and timely report pre-tax losses tied to Canadian construction contracts, causing the stock price to fall nearly 7%.
