Uncertified Welders (False Claims Act)

Boeing paid $492,164 ($474,164 in price adjustments and $18,000 to the Department of Justice Working Capital Fund) to settle an alleged violation of the False Claims Act, 31 U.S.C. § 3729-3733, in which the company allegedly used uncertified welders for the construction of military aircraft parts at Boeing’s Ridley Park, Pennsylvania facility.
