2008 Helicopter Crash Wrongful Death

Bell Helicopter Textron settled a wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of the children of Sandra Pearson, a flight nurse killed in a Decature County medical helicopter crash in August 2008. Pearson and two others were killed in a crash outside Indianapolis when the rotor blade, manufactured by Bell Helicopter Textron, came off their Bell 206 Longranger helicopter. The National Transportation Safety Board found that the flawed main rotor blade had broken apart just after take-off.
