BorgWarner v. Honeywell International (Copyright Infringement)

Honeywell Turbo Technologies agreed to pay $32.5 million to settle a patent infringement lawsuit filed by BorgWarner, Inc. over a titanium wheel used in commercial vehicle engine turbochargers. The dispute involved the design of a lighter and less-expensive titanium compressor wheel. Under the terms of the settlement, Honeywell acquired a license to the patents.
