Out-Of-Network Reimbursement Litigation

UnitedHealth Group paid $350 million to settle class-action lawsuits filed by the American Medical Association, UnitedHealth Group members, healthcare providers, and state medical societies over the company’s policies relating to reimbursement for out-of-network medical services performed since 1994. The settlement agreement contained no admission of wrongdoing.
