FEMA Formaldehyde Products Liability Litigation
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) contractors that manufactured, installed, or maintained government-issued mobile trailers for those displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005, including Bechtel National, CH2M Hill Constructors, Fluor Enterprises, and Shaw Environment, agreed to pay a total of $5 million to resolve claims that the trailers exposed inhabitants to dangerous levels of formaldehyde.
