NCTracks Class Action Lawsuit

North Carolina health care providers filed a class action lawsuit against the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Computer Sciences Corporation, and two other companies, alleging the state’s new NCTracks Medicaid billing and enrollment system was negligently designed and implemented, causing damages to the state’s Medicaid providers. CSC designed, developed, and currently operates NCTracks. The lawsuit alleges that NCTracks, which went live in July 2013, has been plagued with numerous errors, causing Medicaid providers to be underpaid by approximately a half billion dollars.
