Ornelas v. Chrysler Corp. (Defective Door Latch)

Four passengers in a 1988 Dodge Caravan minivan involved in a low-speed crash in 1995 died when they were ejected out of the back of the vehicle, allegedly the result of a rear door latch which Chrysler knew to be defective. The case was settled for an undisclosed amount in March 1998.
