Overcharging on Afghanistan Food Supply Contract – Company Contracting Exclusions

As part of a settlement of civil and criminal charges of defrauding the federal government on a contract to supply U.S. troops in Afghanistan, the Defense Logistics Agency suspended from contracting and proposed the debarment of Supreme Foodservice GmbH and Supreme Foodservice FZE. In December 2014, Supreme Group subsidiaries Supreme Foodservice GmbH and Supreme Foodservice FZE pleaded guilty to fraud and paid $288.4 million in restitution, forfeiture, and fines (see Supreme Group Holding SARL instance, “Overcharging on Afghanistan Food Supply Contract – Criminal Case”). The two companies and Supreme Group also paid $102.5 million to resolve a related civil False Claims Act lawsuit (see Supreme Group Holding SARL instance, “Overcharging on Afghanistan Food Supply Contract – Civil Case”).
