Saunders v. Unisys (Fraudulent Overbilling, Retaliation)

Michael Saunders filed a False Claims Act lawsuit alleging that Unisys overbilled the Army by more than $13 million from 2008 to 2010 on a contract to build a global radio frequency identification (“RFID”) network, and retaliated against him when he expressed his intention to disclose the alleged fraud to the government. The parties settled the lawsuit in late 2014, with Unisys reportedly agreeing to pay $170,000.
