Nuclear Safety Quality Assurance Requirements Deficiencies (2007)

The Department of Energy (DOE) determined that violations of 10 CFR 830.120 (Quality Assurance Requirements) occurred in association with the design and construction of the Rad/NucCTEC (Radiological/Nuclear Countermeasures Test and Evaluation Complex) nuclear facility. However, in light of National Security Technologies’ (NSTec) proactive identification of the quality assurance deficiencies at the facility, and in consideration of the comprehensive scope of NSTec’s assessment report and corrective actions, the DOE determined that no formal enforcement action would be taken.
