Radiological Protection Program Issues at Los Alamos Lab (2004)

The Department of Energy cited “worker exposure to toxic vapors, and programmatic issues in the radiological protection program at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) [operated by the University of California]…DOE would have issued a Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty in the amount of $770,000 in this case; however, this civil penalty is currently waived by statute for LANL.”
