U.S. ex rel. Fadlalla, et al. v. DynCorp et al. (False Claims, Human Trafficking)

A lawsuit filed by 29 individuals who served as linguists for American forces in Kuwait under a U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command contract alleges violations of the False Claim Act and the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act. The lawsuit alleges DynCorp and AECOM, through their joint venture Global Linguist Solutions LLC (GLS), defrauded the government through abuse of the small/disadvantaged business contracting program. In addition, it alleges that GLS confiscated the plaintiffs’ passports, forced them to live in “overcrowded and unsanitary housing,” and coerced them into signing confessions to crimes they did not commit."
