Hunters Point Naval Shipyard Cleanup – Criminal Prosecutions

Former Tetra Tech employees Justin Hubbard and Stephen Rolfe, who worked on the cleanup of radioactive contaminants at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard Superfund site, pleaded guilty to falsification of records. Hubbard and Rolfe admitted to substituting “clean,” non-radioactive soil samples at the site for contaminated soil and misidentifying the locations from where the samples were obtained. Hubbard and Rolfe were sentenced to eight months in prison and ordered to pay fines of $10,000 and $2,000, respectively.
