Loan Agreement Liability

During fiscal year 2005, the U.S. District Court in Delaware rendered a judgment against the Shaw Group and in favor of Saudi American Bank for $6.7 million. Saudi American Bank claimed that, as part of the acquisition of Stone & Webster in July 2000, the Shaw Group had assumed the estate company’s liability under a loan agreement and guarantee. The Shaw Group appealed the judgment.
